This adapter will convert the connection from the Display Port on a PC into a DVI connection for use with DVI ports on TV's, screens and monitors. Simply connect the male Display Port connector in to the Display Port socket on your PC and then connect a DVI cable from the adaptor to the DVI connection on your monitor / TV.

What is "Display Port"?
Display Port is a digital video interface connection designed as a replacement for the DVI standard currently in use on computer hardware. It is similar in specification to the HDMI standard,but unlike HDMI, DisplayPort is being targeted as a computer interface rather than a home theatre interface. Display Port differs from VGA in that VGA is analogue and Display Port is digital.
