HDMI is the new generation AV connection. Offers the capabilty to carry digital audio and video down a single cable.  HDMI cables are perfect to connect HD DVD players, freesat HD boxes, Sky HD boxes, blu-ray players, PS3`s and any other sources with HDMI outputs to your HD enabled screen or projector. Convert from DVI to HDMI using a DVI to HDMI cable which can also be used from HDMI to DVI but remember these cables don't generally carry the audio signal.

Many of our Cables Switches and adaptors are 1.3c  Compliant, and all are HDCP compliant. these cables and switches are suitable for HD DVD, Blu Ray, PS3, XBOX Elite etc, in fact any device with a HD output!

The latest HDMI 1.4 is for use with all current HDMI equipment and is fully backwards compatible. Updating to the 1.4 version ensures you are future proofed and ready for the next generation of devices using the new ethernet channel (which previous versions will not support)

HDMI 1.4 increases the maximum resolution to 4K × 2K (3840×2160p at 24Hz/25Hz/30Hz and 4096×2160p at 24Hz, which is a resolution used with digital theatres)The 1.4 version also offers an HDMI Ethernet Channel, which allows for a 100 Mb/s Ethernet connection between the two HDMI connected devices. HDMI 1.4 introduces an Audio Return Channel, 3D Over HDMI (HDMI 1.3 devices will only support this for 1080i), expanded support for colour spaces, and an Automotive Connection System. HDMI 1.4 supports several stereoscopic 3D formats including field alternative (interlaced), frame alternative, frame packing, line alternative, side-by-side half, side-by-side full, 2D + depth, and 2D + depth + graphics + graphics depth.
