With this USB switch it is possible to use one USB device on a maximum of four computers. For example a printer or scanner has to be shared in a office. By pushing one of the buttons the computer will be selected. Be aware that the switch will not function on USB devices that need continuous contact to a computer.
This switch can also be used the other way around. Operate up to 4 USB devices on one computer. This is only possible for devices that not need a continues contact with a computer like many printers, scanners, camera, joystick and a base station for a PDA or MP3players/IPOD.
